With our strong presence in the North of England and central UK locations, we leverage each of the individual businesses within our group to offer a complete range of services.

Dale & Co
In 1830 our crane division Dale & Co was established in the heart of Manchester
1953
Lifting Gear Products
In 1953, Lifting Gear Products was established on Petre Street, Sheffied by Mr J Davidson.
1990
Europa Group Established
We established Europa Group on a strong foundation of engineering heritage in Sheffield, a city renowned worldwide for its manufacturing capabilities and skilled workmanship.
1992
Plum Alti was acquired
We strengthened our portfolio of lifting expertise with the acquisition of Plum Alti, a notable name in the production of polyester, and now synthetic, lifting equipment.
1992
Lifting Gear Products (est. 1953) was acquired
Our lifting and handling equipment facilities were extended yet again this year with the acquisition of Lifting Gear Products, who brought with them a breadth of design & manufacturing knowledge.
1997
Pattinson Brothers (est. 1856) was acquired
Pattinson Brothers joined Europa Group, bolstering our capabilities with over a century of heavy lifting machining prowess across a wide range of industries.
2005
Brassfounders (est. 1919) was acquired
Brassfounders (Sheffield), became part of Europa Group, adding specialised foundry proficiencies to our services.
2007
JT Barker & Sons (est. 1943) was acquired
JT Barker & Sons was integrated into Brassfounders, further enhancing our foundry operations.
2014
J Youle & Co (est. 1895) was acquired
We then acquired and integrated non-ferrous foundry and specialist engineers J Youle & Co into Brassfounders, once again broadening our range of services.
2014
Established our Head Office at Coleford Road
Europa Group secured our premises on Coleford Road, Sheffield, establishing it as our Head Office and operational hub.
2015
Thomas Broadbent & Sons Foundry Division (est. 1895) was acquired
We further advanced our foundry capabilities with the acquisition of Thomas Broadbent & Sons foundry division.
2024
Dale & Co. (est. 1820) was acquired
We solidified our commitment to growing the lifting and fabrication divisions within our Group with the acquisition of Manchester-based Dale & Co. (Lifting & Handling Specialists).
